From 12 to 15 May, the regular meeting of the Council of the International Congress of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (ICIE or Congress), the Control Commission, as well as a series of business meetings and negotiations between business representatives, international and regional structures, leading enterprises from 22 countries in Europe and Asia were held. Heads of national associations and commercial organizations – members of the Congress, partner organizations – the Organization of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation, the United Nations Industrial Development Organization(UNIDO), the Eurasian Economic Commission, the International Transport Academy, the International Business Association, the International Center for Transport Diplomacy, the International Center for Scientific and Technical Information took part in the ICIE events.
For three days a number of meetings took place, as a result – agreements on business relations with the Congress were reached, programs and interesting projects were discussed.
ICIE President Artem Chaika said: “Representatives of national unions, industrialists, businessmen and public figures from more than 20 countries gathered at the Council’s meeting, what is once again emphasizes the importance of these meetings and the desire of business to has a direct dialogue with each other. Today we see the slogan of our organization – “Business diplomacy in action!”
Vasile Tarlev, Chairman of the ICIE Council, discussed the current issues of the Congress activities, the place, role and opportunities of the ICIE in the modern realities, as well as issues of international cooperation in the context of political and economic turbulence affecting almost on all countries and national unions , represented in the Congress.
The agenda of the meeting also included issues of transport and logistics cooperation, legal support of business processes, further optimization of the membership base of the Congress, preparation of future events.
There were speeches of – ICIE First Executive Vice-President Vyacheslav Pshenichnikov, Deputy Secretary General of BSEC Sergei Goncharenko, Chairman of the Greek National Committee for the Black Sea Economic Cooperation Harris Alexopoulos, President of the International Academy of Transport Victor Dosenko, Director General of the Institute for Economic Strategies Alexander Ageev, Executive Secretary of the International Center for Transport Diplomacy Igor Runov, as well as leaders of national business alliances. Special attention at the ICIE meeting of the Council was paid to presentations of practical projects and proposals of members and partners of the Congress – the Industrial Development Fund, the Federal Association of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises of Germany (BVMW), the Russia-China Investment Fund for Regional Development, Shipbuilding company “Shipbuilding Mate Dohai” (The Republic of Korea).
“To maintain the necessary dynamics of world activity, solve acute social problems, strengthen the medium-term prospects and ensure wider dissemination of the benefits of technological progress and effective economic integration, international cooperation on a multilateral basis is necessary and we will continue this work within the framework of the ICIE,” said Artem Chaika in conclusion.
