HISTORY OF ICIE
In December 1991, the USSR dissolved, and a number of institutions, which had formed the foundation of the political and economic structure of our country and the Eastern European states, ceased to exist.
At that time, Arkady Ivanovich Volsky (the future coordinator of the ICIE Council), together with like-minded individuals, put forward the idea of establishing the Congress — an international public organization aimed at uniting the post-Soviet countries to preserve economic ties, and to develop and expand business cooperation.
As a result, the first constituent assembly of ICIE was held in Moscow on February 22, 1992.
